Kamuela is located on the
north side of The Big Island in the South Kohala region. Kamuela
is also referred to as Waimea, which was the original name of the
community and the surrounding area
Kamuela lies in the
rolling green foothills above the Kohala Coast. Kamuela is also
home to nine golf courses and seven world class hotels. Just a
short drive takes you to some of the islands most beautiful
beaches and swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling,
diving and more.

include camping, golf, scuba, mountain biking, surfing, hiking,
wind surfing, horseback riding, and birdwatching.

Anaehoomalu Petroglyphs, Kuako Petroglyph Archaeological Preserve,
