Bears' Place Guest House is a great home-base for exploring the Big Island of Hawaii. Centrally located 7 miles north of downtown Kailua-Kona, the inn resides at a comfortable 1,600 foot elevation. Waimea is a half hour drive, and Hilo and Volcanoes National Park are a great day trip from here.

Your Hosts, Anne Stockel and daughter, Nanette, offer spacious studios in their home. Each accommodation is light and airy and features a separate entrance, ceiling fans, private, tiled full bath, Wireless High Speed Internet access, and Cable TV. Kitchenettes come with refrigerator / freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. All accommodations have comfortable queen size, pillow-top beds, and brand new sleeper-sofas for extra guests. Sliding glass doors open onto spacious, covered, ocean view lanai. Suites have a separate sitting area and walk-in closets. The Ohana Suite also has a fully equipped tiled kitchen, living room and extra bathroom.

A Welcome basket with coffee, tea, cocoa, and goodies for your first breakfast awaits your arrival. Wake up in the morning to the sound of birds singing and enjoy breakfast at your leisure. After a day of fun in Hawaii, relax on the expansive covered lanai and enjoy sunset views of the Kona coastline.

This wonderful lodging is a short drive from the airport and the many beautiful beaches along the Kona Coast. It is close to numerous restaurants of Kailua, and the picturesque Makalei Hawaii Golf Course.
