The charm of the Old South with a Victorian touch awaits you
at The 1906 Pathway Inn Bed and Breakfast. This Colonial
Revival-style inn, located in historic Americus, Georgia,
displays extensive woodwork, stained glass windows, and a
circular veranda that all lend an enduring quality to your
stay.
1906 Pathway is the only area inn that AAA has rated with
three diamonds, and the Georgia Journal '96 declares
it the "Best Bed and Breakfast in the Presidential
Pathway Area."
1906 Pathway offers six upscale guest rooms which ensure
personal attention and pampering. Each lodging accommodation
features a queen or king bed, ceiling fan, color television,
VCR, desk, and telephone. All rooms have their own individual
decor and private baths, and most feature whirlpools.
A sumptuous three-course candlelight breakfast is served
each morning at your convenience between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m.,
with first-rate service in a charming atmosphere. In the
evening, complimentary refreshments, wine, and assorted
beverages are served. Service is always top-notch: no matter
whether you're on a holiday retreat, honeymoon, birthday
getaway, or business trip, the innkeepers here will
accommodate all your special requests to the best of their
abilities to make your trip a very special one.
Spend some time exploring this beautiful region; you will be
glad you did. Ramble through the Civil War town of
Andersonville, a National Historic Site. Here you will find a
museum, antique shops, and a quaint old Civil War town. Take
the new excursion trip to Plains, the home of former President
Jimmy Carter. On most Sundays, you can listen to him teach
Sunday school and even get your photo taken with him and
Rosalynn. Visit Habitat for Humanity's headquarters and take a
look at their new Global Village Museum and Discovery Center.

Make a call at the Georgia Rural Telephone Museum. You can
even see the site where Charles Lindbergh learned to fly. Step
back in time at the 1850's living history village of
Westville, where you can see life as it was over 100 years
ago. Take a hike and see the deep rich colors of Providence
Canyon, dubbed the "little grand canyon of the South".
Want to play a round of golf? No problem -- there are three
semi-private courses all within a five- to 20- minute drive of
the Inn. Georgia Veterans' State Park is also a short drive
away. There they have golf, boating, swimming, and fishing.
You'll want to plan at least a three-day stay here so you
can truly experience the atmosphere and charm of Southern
Georgia, but even one day in this gracious small town at the
unique 1906 Pathway Inn bed and breakfast will revive and
rejuvenate your spirits and leave you with fond memories. |
