Specialty Recipe

Filled Coffee Cake

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons margarine

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

3/4 cup flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Filling:

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 cup chopped nuts

2 Tablespoons flour

2 Tablespoons melted margarine or butter

Cream 2 tablespoons of margarine and add 1/2 cup sugar sugar and egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Spread 1/2 mixture in a well-greased 6-inch pan.

Filling: Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Spread topping over 1/2 of the batter in pan. Spread rest of the batter over first layer and put rest of filling on top. Bake about 45 minutes at 375 degrees.
