The Melon Patch Inn was established in 1994 on North Hutchinson Island, near sunny Fort Pierce, Florida. This cottage-style inn is located on the Indian River on the Treasure Coast of Florida.

The Key West style inn provides the perfect setting for any event or just to relax and escape. Four guest rooms are located throughout the inn, offering differing styles and a relaxing setting. All four rooms offer private baths and some rooms open to an outdoor patio area. Guests are provided with in-room amenities including cable color TV, a luggage rack, bed and bath linens and Wirelesss Internet Access. One of the guest rooms is outfitted to accommodate wheelchairs handicapped accessible.

In the morning, wake up to your choice of a full breakfast or a quick continental morning starter. If you wish, the inn will bring breakfast to your room as part of your available room service.

After breakfast, kick back and relax on the on-site pier, or perhaps you'd like to visit one of the many local area attractions. Visit the manatees at the Manatee Observation, visit one of the local museums such as the Navy UDT Seal Museum, or enjoy one of many outdoor and water sports. Spend your day fishing, wind surfing, diving, water-skiing, or take take a ride on a bike or horse. In town, there are plenty of local shops, markets, theaters, and other attractions available, providing you with plenty to do!

If you are planning a wedding or social event, The Mellon Patch is the perfect site for your event. The in-house coordinator can help you in the planning process and the inn can provide catering, reception, and notary services as well as providing the perfect venue for your special ceremony.
