The Coombs Inn is a romantic bed and breakfast in an elegant
Victorian mansion located in Apalachicola, Florida's Northwest
Panhandle.
The inn consists of The Mansion, Veranda Suites, and The
Villa, each boasting antiques, oil paintings and oriental
carpets from all over the world. The three-story Mansion
features high ceilings, nine fireplaces, Victorian art and
decor that exudes a quiet graceful atmosphere.
Located 50 yards from Main House is The
Villa. Built in 1911, it has 8 guest rooms, a 1
bedroom apartment (with kitchen), meeting room and gazebo.
Four new luxurious Veranda Suites,
with Jacuzzi tubs, private parlors, kitchenettes, and
individual verandas offer a little more independence and
privacy. The perfect getaway summer retreat for weekly or
multiple day rentals. All accommodations offer a private bath,
remote control cable TV, and telephone with computer/data port
and free local calls.
In the morning, enjoy a complimentary breakfast that
features items such as baked Stratas, with eggs, cheese,
potatoes, and a daily variety of additional ingredients, like
ham, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and more.
Other items include fresh and dry fruit, many flavors of fresh
muffins, cereals, yogurt, juices, milk, coffee, decaf, and
quality teas. Complimentary wine, cheese and snacks are served
in the parlor from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays,
and holidays.
