Pound Cake

Ingredients:

2 sticks margarine or butter (1 cup)

3 cups sugar

6 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 cups flour

1 cup sour cream

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray. Cream butter and sugar using electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and beat 3 more minutes. Put in pan in cold oven for 15 minutes at 325 degrees, then reduce to 300 and continue baking for for 70 to 75 minutes (1 hour and 10 to 15 minutes). Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Cool on wire rack. Dust lightly with powdered sugar just before serving.
