Specialty Recipe

Apple Cake

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups salad oil

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

3 cups flour

1 teaspoon soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup nuts, chopped

3 cups raw apples, chopped, or 2 large apples, peeled and grated

Streusel Topping (optional):

1 cup flour

1/2 cup sugar

1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 stick butter

Mix salad oil, sugar, and eggs together, then add remaining ingredients. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

If desired, streusel topping may be put on cake before baking. Combine ingredients and cut in butter until very fine.
