| Located
in western Europe, Belgium has about 40 miles of seacoast on
the North Sea, and at the Strait of Dover. The Meuse and the
Schelde, Belgium's principal rivers, are important
commercial arteries. Though its big cities are Brussels,
Antwerp and Ghent, the town of Namur is just 35 minutes from
Brussels. On the banks of the River Meuse it is a great
diversion from the big cities that offers the European
traveler quaint shops, fine restaurants, and interesting
sightseeing and bed and breakfast inns. |
