boots and chaps and join the fun at an authentic western
dude ranch. Most of these dude ranches have activities
for the whole family. Many of these vacation ranches are
authentic dude ranches where you can rope, ride and
cattle drive. Some are guest ranch resorts with western
riding, resort relaxing and ranch activities and some

Know
the Difference....
There are difference types of Dude Ranch
Vacations. Some ranches offer a combination with
programs that fall within more than one category and
some on our list offer just horseback riding and/ or
boarding.
Dude Ranch -
horseback riding is the central activity, pack trips,
area games, and lessons.
Guest Ranch -
Horseback riding, and other activities, water sports,
fishing, swimming, more diverse vacation activities.
Working Ranch -
horse riding, Western experience with animal
husbandry, cattle drives, -- operational aspects of
ranching.
Resort Ranch -
horse riding and other onsite facilities such as golf,
swimming pool, spa, tennis, and entertainment. |
