  The common area (photo above) for which the Inn is known has three rooms plus a large deck, all for the guests' private use. Shown is part of the 7-1/2-foot grand staircase, restored in 1996 to its original configuration. A mural depicting Poquetanuck Village and the nearby cove cover the stairwell and hallway walls. Also in the common area is a see-through fireplace that can be used by guests at any time and is lit for breakfast on chilly mornings.

• Payment: Credit card number required to hold room. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover accepted.
• Cancellation Policy: From the time of booking there is a 24 hour grace period to cancel without penalty. After that there is a $50.00 non-refundable fee per room charged for cancellation. The full cost of the stay is charged if cancellation is within seven days or less of the expected arrival date. Any rooms resold will not be charged beyond the $50.00 cancellation fee. Early departure will not be refunded.
• Restrictions: Children 5 and older welcome. Pets allowed by prior arrangement. No smoking.
• Breakfast: Full country breakfast served family-style.
• Special Events at Inn: Intimate gatherings and weddings. Halloween special all October weekends.

• Directions: From N.Y./West: North on I-95 to Exit 76 on to I-395. Take Exit 79A. Follow to "T" intersection (traffic light). Turn left on to Route 2A continuation/12. Take first right on to Route 2A. Captain Grant's is 1.6 miles on the right.
  From Boston/East: South on I-95. Take Exit 92 to Route 2 West. Pass Foxwoods Casino. Proceed to Route 2A intersection (traffic light, left hand turn only). Turn on to Route 2A. Captain Grant's is 1.1 mile on the left.
  From North: Take I-395 to Exit 79A and continue with "From NY/West" directions.
