Niantic
is a classic New England village, rich with history and all of the
romance of a seaside destination. Picturesque and quiet, its Main
Street is lined with small, thriving shops and galleries. Located in
a quiet corner of Connecticut, with Rocky Neck State Park on one
side and the Nehantic State Forest on the other, the town is a
summer resort with a colorful history and even more colorful
sunsets.
Area recreational activities include fishing, boating,
swimming, hiking, skiing and ice skating in the winter.
For summer enjoyment, Harkness Memorial Park offers outdoor
concerts overlooking Long Island Sound. Area attractions include
Atlantic Flyway, Black Hawk II, the Family Fun Trail, and Hopeville
Pond. |
