Clinton is a quaint
village with unique shops, restaurants, cafes, coffeehouses, old
house museums, live theater, spas, art galleries, and farmers
market. Clinton is an antique lover's paradise known for its
plentiful antique shops, flea markets and great deals, as well as
beautiful beaches, harbors, marinas, nature trails, and
quintessential New England Main Street and Green lined with
beautifully restored Colonial and Victorian era homes.
For your convenience,
Clinton operates a Visitor's Information Center located on East
Main Street (in front of the Fire Department). Called the 1630
House, the building is an exact replica of cabins typical of
colonial New England in 1630, right down to its wooden pegs. It is
staffed with knowledgeable people who can provide you with
complete information on where to go and what to do in Clinton and
the surrounding area. |
