cabin (sleeps 4, with small kitchen) and a guest house (sleeps 8 to
10) with two units (may be rented as separate units or the whole
house) and shared kitchen. Guest house is handicap accessible.

without notice. Weekly and monthly rates available November through

- Check-in: After 3:30 p.m. (if arriving after 8:00 p.m.,
please call). Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
- Payment: Hold a room with a one-night deposit by credit
card or check. Personal checks and cash preferred for payment, but
Visa, MasterCard, and Discover also accepted.
- Cancellation Policy: Notice of modification of
reservations must be received at least 10 days prior to scheduled
arrival date for lodge and log cabin (2 weeks required all year for
rental of the whole Guest House). These include cancellation with
full refund of deposit and changes in arrival/departure dates, and
change in number of guests. Otherwise, guests are responsible for
payment of all nights reserved.
- Restrictions: No smoking inside. Dogs permitted in cabin
with prior approval. Corrals are provided for guests horses (prior
approval required). Liability release forms for dogs and horses.
Children welcome.
- Breakfast: Full breakfast after 7:30 a.m. Guest house
rental does not include breakfast.
- Special Events at Inn: Small retreats, weddings,
birthday parties, receptions, and conferences possible September
through May.
- Recreation & Activities: On site: roam the 80 acres
surround the lodge, play horseshoes, and relax. Nearby: hiking,
fishing, biking, golf, and skiing.
- Attractions & Special Events: Mesa Verde National
Park, an internationally known archeological wonder, the fall color
of the San Juan Skyway, Durango steam train, and fall hot air
balloon festivals.
- Recommended Local Restaurants: Millwood Junction,
Kennebec Cafe, Nero, and Naked Moose.
- Recommended Local Best Kept Secrets: Late September fall
colors in the San Juan Mountains.
- Directions: Flying: Local airports are
available in Cortez and Durango, Colorado and in Farmington, New
Mexico, with Durango having the most flights. Connections are
available from Denver, Phoenix. Airports are 45 minutes to 1-1/2
hours from the lodge. Note: it is the least expensive to fly to
Albuquerque and then rent a car (5 hours).
Driving: Located 30 miles west of Durango,
Mancos is about 4 to 5 hours driving time from Albuquerque and 7 to
8 hours from Denver. Call or email for several different routes.
Local Directions: Once you get to Mancos, turn
north on Highway 184, toward Dolores. Go 3.9 miles and turn left at
western-style log pole gate. The lodge is between Rd. 39.2 and 38.5.
(Note: the house numbers in the area are mixed up -- look
for the Lodge sign on the left rather than the street numbers.)
