Buena Vista, Elk Mountain Ranch offers a breathtaking panorama
of snow-capped peaks and a variety of wildlife to observe -- a
nature lover's and photographer's paradise. 
Log cottages and lodge rooms are carpeted and tastefully
furnished, with each accommodation including a private bath
and daily housekeeping. The suite in the main lodge and five
of the cabins all have two bedrooms, with the sixth cabin
having three bedrooms -- ideal for family vacations. There are
also three lodge rooms in the Pioneer Lodge, all with private
exterior entrances and sharing a long front porch. Two of
these rooms can be combined for families with older children.
The common areas in the Main Lodge give guests plenty of
space in which to spend some relaxing time. In the lodge room
with large fireplace as well as the enclosed porch and sun
deck, catch up with fellow guests, curl up with a good book
from the library, or play one of the many games available. You
can watch a movie in the movie room.

An abundance of activity awaits

scenery of aspen and evergreen on Little Bull Creek.
Each weekly vacation package includes your own
personal horse with trail guides and instruction, a
thrilling white-water raft trip, a scenic vehicle trip to
Aspen, and a host of other ranch activities such as trap
shooting, archery, hayrides, square dances, campfires, and
musical entertainment.
The ranch's remote high mountain location also lends
itself to hiking and exploration. Discover an area rich in

There are two stocked fishing ponds on site, and
several "secret fishin' holes" are nearby,

A family-oriented guest ranch, Elk Mountain also offers a
full kids' program for children ages three to seven. Children
eight and older are usually able to participate in regular
ranch activities, but are always welcome to join the kids'
program. On Saturday, the children will put on a rodeo.
