Few homes in the United States have the stature to be known by their name, not address. Red Crags is a magnificent four-story Victorian mansion that has been known to all in the Pikes Peak area for over 120 years. Historically, Red Crags has been a favorite visiting place of Teddy Roosevelt.

The main house, over 7,000 square feet, dominates the 2-acre estate. Prominently situated on a bluff, the unique combination of views includes Pikes Peak, Manitou Valley, Garden of the Gods, and the city of Colorado Springs. The inn is rated and approved three diamonds by AAA and Mobil.

The main floor is open to all guests. High ceilings, hardwood floors and beautiful antiques predominate. The lovely parlor with large bar, antique piano and fireplace is a great room for conversation. The solarium provides an excellent opportunity to gaze out and view Pikes Peak. The formal dining room, where a gourmet breakfast is served, features a rare Cherrywood Eastlake fireplace.

The eight bedrooms, all with private baths and fireplaces, feature king size beds with European feather mattresses and down comforters. The rooms have been decorated with period antiques.

The Inn's two new suites feature jetted tubs for two and sitting areas with fireplaces. Business services are available, such as telephone, computer hook ups, faxes, photocopy, and cybercafe computer.

Outside, visitors can sit on the covered decks or walk through the beautifully landscaped grounds and herb gardens. Guests can sit by the gurgling brook and ponds or they can grab a terry cloth robe and relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi.
