Millionaire Pie

Governor and Mrs. Owens would like to share a dessert that is sure to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. This recipe is a favorite in the Owens home and is served as a dessert at holiday meals as well as occasionally making an appearance at the family's evening meals. One taste and you'll understand how it got its name.

Ingredients for Pie Crust

2 cups graham crackers, crushed

1 stick margarine, melted

1/4 cup sugar

Ingredients for Filling

2 cups powdered sugar

1 stick margarine

1 egg

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup drained, crushed pineapple

1/2 cup nuts (optional)

For crust: Combine crushed graham crackers, melted margarine, and sugar. Press into pie pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.

For filling: Cream powdered sugar and margarine. Add egg, salt, and vanilla. Mix and spoon into crust. Chill. Whip heavy cream. Add drained, crushed pineapple. Add nuts. Spoon on top of cream mixture. Chill.
