From the clear mountain air altitude of 8,451 feet, the warmth and peacefulness of Allenspark Lodge provides a special place to rejuvenate after a day of traveling or enjoying the mountains.

Since 1933, the gracious, three-story building of hand-peeled pine has woven a special magic for the community and travelers alike. A cheery fire in the native stone fireplace welcomes guests to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and a book from the lodge's library.

The main floor of the lodge offers the Great Room and library, the Sun room, the Hot Tub room and the Dining room. In the Game room and library you will find a selection of paperback books, board games and puzzles in addition to an assortment of videos. Conferences, receptions and meetings can be held in the Sun room. Secluded on an enclosed porch, the Hot Tub room is the perfect place to relax before bed.

The two upper levels house the thirteen guest rooms, each with its own unique personality. Seven of the bedrooms are outfitted with a private bath, either with a shower or an antique claw-foot tub. The Hideaway Room is the most popular room, often booked months in advance. Nestled in the corner of the upper level, with views from all three sides, this room is a perfect place to forget the worries of the world and relax.

Allenspark Lodge is quickly becoming known for the hot, family-style breakfasts served in the Dining room. A typical menu includes an egg dish, potatoes, fresh homemade breads and bacon, sausage or ham. Breakfasts "to go" are available for guests who choose to take an early hike or horseback ride. Guests are welcome to pull up a chair and sit a spell with a beer, wine, or specialty coffee from the bar.

Within a short distance of Allenspark Lodge you will find a host of adventuresome activities. The Rocky Mountain National Park, Scenic Peak to Peak highway, hiking trails, down-hill skiing and cross-country skiing are all close by. The area is great for fishing and those who enjoy mountain wildlife.
