Built in 1913, The La Jolla Bed and Breakfast is a
registered Historical Site as well as one of the finest
examples of architect Irving Gill's "Cubist"
style architecture. Airy and sunny with ocean and garden
views from many of the rooms and decks, the Inn is a
welcome respite any time of the year.
Recently updated in a classically elegant country style,
the Inn offers fifteen guest rooms, each with a private
bath. Although each guestroom has its own theme, color
scheme, and personality, all lodging accommodations are
embellished with antiques, decorative accessories, and
exquisite artwork, exuding a European ambience and
old-world charm. There are nine guest rooms in the
original house and six in the annex.
Fresh fruit, sherry, terry robes, nightly turn-down
service, and a morning newspaper delivered daily to your
room are just a few of the special amenities that will
make you feel welcome. Guests may relax in rooms with a
complementary mini bar, wood-burning fireplace, double
tub, or ocean view. Flowers abound inside and out.
A full gourmet breakfast is offered each morning, served
by candlelight on bone china, antique silver, and fine
linen. Enjoy culinary delights made with the freshest
ingredients and accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and
juice. Breakfast begins in the dining room at 8:00 a.m.
and is also served in the lovely garden area during the
summer months.
In the late afternoon, you may join your innkeeper and
other guests for wine and cheese in the common areas of
the inn. Coffee, tea, and homemade pastries are always
available in the dining room for your enjoyment any time
of the day. You may also request a picnic basket as a
finishing touch to your day at the park or the beach, a
wonderful way to enjoy lunch amidst the La Jolla scenery.

The Bed and Breakfast Inn at La Jolla is directly across
from the newly renovated Museum of Contemporary Art of La
Jolla and close by the Stephen Birch Aquarium, Scripps
Institute of Oceanography, and beautiful beaches.
Minutes away, you will find attractions such as the San
Diego Zoo, Sea World, The Wild Animal Park, Old Town, Downtown
San Diego, and Baja Mexico. Recreation abounds in the area,
including tennis and biking, as well as all beach activities,
including kayaking, wind surfing, snorkeling, surfing, and
scuba diving.
Those who prefer more leisurely pursuits may want to visit
the local theatre or peruse nearby museums. Fabulous dining,
art galleries, and shops can be found in the heart of the
village, all within comfortable walking distance from the Inn.
