Aunt Bertha's Refrigerator Muffins

Ingredients

1 package raisin bran (16 ounce)

5 cups flour

3 cups sugar

3 teaspoons baking soda

2 teaspoons salt

1 quart buttermilk

1 cup cooking oil

4 beaten eggs

Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl, then add the liquids. Bake in muffin tins about 20 minutes at 400 degrees. This batter will keep up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator and aging seems to improve the flavor. Sometimes I add extras like: blueberries, strawberries, nuts, raisins, apples, coconut, cinnamon, chocolate chips, or anything else you might enjoy.
