1870's, giving you a good look at the oldest wineries and
elegant life-style of the Tubbs family and their friends.
The Tubbs and the Reids were two of Napa Valley's earliest
and most glamourous residents. The Reid name is an important
part of San Francisco architecture (the Fairmont Call Building
and Hotel Del Coronodo are a few of their designs).
The Tubbs family established an empire supplying cordage to
the Clipper ships of San Francisco Harbor and founded
Calistoga's Chateau Montelena in 1880.
