Sonoma Plaza, spanning
an eight acre area, is the largest Plaza in California. The
Plaza was laid out by General Vallejo in 1934 and made a
National Historic Landmark in 1961. Sonoma Plaza is the site
of many events and festivals throughout the year where locals
and tourist enjoy a variety of cultural and civic activities.
Sonoma's City Hall in the center of the Plaza was made famous
by the television program "Falcon Crest," where is
was featured as the show's Tuscany County Courthouse.
