This family owned ranch offers a unique farm stay experience
in a gracious 1902 California Craftsman style home built by
Illinois State Senator Fred E. Harding. Guest tours serve to
review family history and provide detail on the antiques,
paintings and Oriental rugs which have been passed down to the
hosts, fourth generation descendants of Senator Harding.
Start each day with a generous candlelight breakfast of
delicious treats that include fresh-squeezed orange juice and
grapefruit from the citrus ranch; a variety of locally grown
fruits in season; home-baked muffins or breads; hot tea,
including herbal, and coffee made from coffee beans ground
each morning. The breakfast changes daily and includes a
variety of memorable, gourmet entrees. Delicious dishes are
made from eggs that were laid by free-range hens from a local
farm.
Off the ranch, see the Sequoia National Park and Kings
Canyon National Park, home to giants trees that are hundreds
of years old. Other attractions include the Squaw Valley Herb
Garden, The Doll Nest, the Sierra Endangered Cat Haven and
three Sisters Farmstead Cheese with visitor center, dairy
tours and cheese tastings. Golfers will love playing at
Sawtooth on the St. John's while antique lovers will delight
in the nearby shops. |
