Hennessey House Bed and Breakfast is a great place to relax
in the beautiful Napa Valley Wine Country of California.
Gardens bursting with color greet you upon your arrival.
These beautiful gardens boast a fountain and a deck where
guests may enjoy breakfast in the spring and summer. Other
enjoyable amenities include a soothing parlor that is the
perfect setting for watching television or finishing a
half-read novel, and a steamy sauna is open twenty-four hours
a day.
Ten spacious guestrooms, each with a private bath, grace
this glorious establishment. All lodging accommodations are
decorated with fine European antiques and offer king- or
queen-sized beds, most of which are either feather or
four-poster canopy. Bathrooms have either clawfoot tubs,
etched glass stall showers or whirlpool tubs for two. The
Duck Nook is a suite with a plush king-sized featherbed,
fireplace, nine bottle personal wine cellar, skylight and
whirlpool tub for two. In the bathroom, two antique sinks are
set in an antique wood vanity. The Lavender Lace room,
has it all: fireplace, queen-sized four poster canopy bed, bay
window overlooking the front lawn and stained glass window.
The bathroom has an etched glass stall shower, antique brass
fixtures and a marble floor.
The morning cuisine at Hennessey House is something to
behold. Breakfast is served in the dining room, which features
a hand-painted stamped tin ceiling. Each day brings new
gourmet delights such as blueberry-stuffed French toast,
basil-cheese strata, homemade granola, and fresh baked
muffins. In the afternoon, guests may enjoy tea and cookies.
Each evening, your hosts serve complimentary wine and cheese
in one of the common areas. |
Hennessey House, a California bed and breakfast inn listed
on the National Register of Historic Places was built by Dr.
Edwin Hennessey, a prominent physician and former mayor of
Napa. The house was restored in 1986 and repainted in 1992 to
Painted Lady status.
Close to both of Napa Valley's scenic roadways, Highway 29
