Ingredients - Filling

1 Tablespoon butter

6 pears, cored and sliced thinly

1 cup fresh cranberries

2 Tablespoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup granulated sugar

3 Tablespoons cornstarch

Ingredients - Topping

1 cup flour

1/4 cup turbinado sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 Tablespoons milk

1 large egg

1/4 cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 6-quart casserole dish. In a large skillet, saute pears in butter until slightly soft. Remove from heat and stir in berries, sugars, cornstarch, lemon juice, and spices. Spoon into baking dish. Combine topping ingredients in mixing bowl. Spoon topping over pears and bake, loosely covered with foil, for 55 to 60 minutes until bubbly and top is lightly browned.
