The Old Crocker Inn is nestled in the hills above the town of Cloverdale in Sonoma County overlooking the award-winning vineyards of California's Alexander Valley and a peaceful stretch of the Russian River.

It offers wine country travelers a secluded setting for a quick getaway or extended vacation just 2 hours north of San Francisco. The evening stars sparkle, the deer dawdle, and you can relax in luxury.

The Inn's eight rooms and suites are comfortably furnished with gas fireplaces, private baths, and luxurious linens. Some baths have antique clawfoot tubs, while some have jetted tubs. All rooms also have complimentary Internet access, and most have cable television with DVD players/VCRs. Each room and suite is unique and celebrates a part of the history of the Inn.

The Inn is the ultimate choice for memorable private parties, corporate events (such as off-site meetings, training, and retreats), and club events.

The Old Crocker Inn's five acres offer guests a secluded, relaxing setting. There's an abundance of wildlife, and bird watching is a favorite pastime. Deer wander, red-tailed fox prowl, quail dip and dance, and wild turkeys wallow. In the evening, the ducks come home to roost and the sky alights with stars. The large sparkling blue pool invites lapping, lounging, and sunbathing. The spa helps the muscles twine and unwind. Massages by a local masseuse can also be arranged.

Tranquil country roads make for great biking in and around Cloverdale, or you may want to go for a leisurely paddle on Lake Sonoma or search for the few swift currents along the picturesque Russian River. Horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and golf are also available nearby. Cloverdale itself is a wonderful turn-of-the-century town with many well-preserved historic homes, or visit Healdsburg, just 15 minutes away, for its unique Spanish-style plaza, interesting boutiques and art galleries, and fabulous antique and home furnishing stores.

The Old Crocker Inn serves a complimentary multi-course gourmet breakfast daily in the majestic dining room or on the spacious deck encircling the main lodge. Relish the breathtaking view of the Alexander Valley and listen to the calls of wild birds while you eat. Enjoy a variety of home-style country French food and desserts from a seasonal menu that changes daily (let your hosts know in advance if you have any special diet requests). The wine list includes a variety of the finest locally produced wines.

But even with all that the Inn has to offer, you may want to venture outwards. The surrounding Alexander Valley is known for its exceptional wineries. Hosts Michel and Susan have maps, winery information, insider tips, and special tasting discount coupons for you at the Inn. They also arrange private tours and tastings for their guests (not available to the general public).
