Come to the Hunewill Guest Ranch, a real cattle ranch founded in 1861, for a memorable vacation in the spirit of the Wild West! Cattle raising is the main industry on this 4,400 acre ranch with more than 2,000 cattle. During your stay at the Ranch, you'll have your own saddle horse and enjoy rides twice a day. Activities including horseback riding, cattle-work and all regular ranch goings-on. Breakfast rides, cookouts, picnics, hiking, swimming in a sparkling stream on the ranch, square dancing, and great trout fishing are some of the exciting adventures that await you at Hunewill Guest Ranch.

The Ranch offers its guests cottages with private baths and porches or accommodations in the main ranch house in rooms with connecting baths.

Hunker down to three hearty well balanced family meals served to you every day in the dining room or on cook-outs. There are special children's programs, day trips with lunch, or auto trips to deserted mining towns. Nevada is less than an hour away. Yosemite Park and Lake Tahoe are nearby.

Since the Hunewill Ranch is located at 6,500 feet, your hosts recommend that you bring a hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, and a warm jacket for the cool evenings. It's strongly recommended that you and your family come equipped with cowboy boots or stout work boots.
