Ingredients:

1 loaf sourdough bread

8 ounces cream cheese

2-1/2 cups milk

8 eggs (large)

1 cup maple syrup (to be split in half)

1/2 cup butter

medium mixing bowl

9-inch baking bowl

Grease baking bowl. Cube bread (approximately 1 inch x 1 inch). Layer bread, sliced cream cheese, bread, etc. Mix milk, eggs, and 1/2 cup maple syrup in mixing bowl. Pour over casserole, making sure that bread is saturated. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle casserole with cinnamon. Bake for 2 hours.

Before serving, mix melted butter and 1/2 cup maple syrup in small sauce pan. Pour mixture over all, punching holes with butter knife as required.
