This
beautiful Queen Anne Victorian bed and breakfast inn is set
amidst a large yard surrounded by tall old shade trees and a
rose-covered picket fence. All this is just a short stroll to
historic downtown Grass Valley
Built
in 1880 by William Campbell, a local merchant who made his
fortune selling mining equipment, general supplies, and baked
goods. Campbell remodeled the house in 1895 to its present Queen
Anne style.
The
charming bed and breakfast cottages are clustered around a
grassy tree-shaded courtyard garden. Most cottages have
kitchenettes including linens and utensils, making them ideal
vacation rentals for extended stays.
One
of California's premier bed and breakfast Inns, the 1857
landmark brick mansion is the only authentically preserved
Gothic Revival building in Nevada City's Historic District.
