Ingredients

4 large apples, halved and cored (Red Rome)

2 cups of your favorite granola

1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt OR

1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon sugar, combined

Place halved and cored apples in shallow baking dish. Apples should have a fairly large hole cut out of them in the center. Fill apples with granola mix (may include seasonal mixes of raisins, dried cranberries, and nuts.) Place a small dab of butter or shortening on top of granola. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

When apples are done, serve in individual bowls topped with whipped cream or yogurt or place on serving tray with each apple dabbed with topping. Arrange edible flowers around apples. Serve while hot.
