On the warm side of
Monterey Bay you will find a playground for adults and children of
all ages. From surfing, beach combing, hiking, biking, kayaking
and just plain relaxing, Santa Cruz has it all. Through out a line
and catch a fish or sample one of the delectable eateries on the
Santa Cruz Wharf overlooking the famed Santa Cruz Beach and
Boardwalk. Charter a sailboat at the Yacht Harbor or sit outdoors
and sip a glass of wine while watching the boats glide by.
Attend one of the city's
many cultural exhibits and festivals, or listen to lively jazz in
an outdoor cafe downtown. Spend the day wine-tasting at one of
Santa Cruz's excellent wineries. Or take a walk through Redwood
groves and enjoy the natural quiet of the forest. Golf, swimming,
surfing and tennis - the activities abound - and Santa Cruz has a
wide variety of great restaurants, shops and boutiques.
