Glen Ellen is in the heart
of one of California's most renowed wine country. This rural North
Bay community of Glen Ellen was once the home of author Jack
London. In the 19th century, Glen Ellen grew around its namesake,
a ranch and vineyard owned by Pennsylvania businessman Charles
Stuart. Stuart named his ranch after his wife Ellen. The town
quickly evolved into a lumber village and popular vacation stop
for San Franciscans.
Glen Ellen is the perfect
place to
stay while visiting and touring the Sonoma County and Napa
County wine country.
