side" of the Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz County. The community
name of Aptos derives from Indian phrase for "meeting of the
streams."
Aptos is home to Cabrillo
College one of the most highly regarded community colleges in the
state for its success in the area of transfer and career education
and currently serves over 13,000 students.
Aptos boasts a rich
cultural life and numerous recreational opportunities. Residents
