• Attractions & Special Events: 1/2 mile to ocean beach, flower mart on 3rd Saturday of each month, and amateur theatre monthly. Mavericks giant wave surfing contest in January or February. Many good restaurants. Oddball shops.
• Directions: Once you reach Montara, coming either from the north or the south on Highway 1, look for the Montara Beach Outrigger Restaurant, which is at the north end of Montara on the beach. Opposite the restaurant is 2nd Street. Turn east (inland) on 2nd, an immediate right on Main Street, go one short block and turn left on 3rd Street. Go east for 1/2 mile, past 4 stop signs, and you will have reached the Goose and Turrets (pay no attention to street signs -- at this point you will be on George Street). The Inn is on the left, a 2-story gray building, with 2 red cannon beside the front door! The address is 835 George Street.
