Perched on the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais overlooking the village of Mill Valley between the ocean and San Francisco Bay, the Mountain Home Inn hosts sweeping views of San Francisco Bay. Just 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge, this rustic, yet elegant inn borders two parks: Mt. Tamalpais State Park and Muir Woods National Park, home of the giant redwoods. The only commercial establishment on the mountain, the Inn is a landmark junction for many scenic hiking and mountain biking trails.

Overnight guests of the Inn have ranged from Jack London to Robin Williams. In 1985, the present owners restored the ten-room inn, wherein it was voted one of the "Ten Best New Inns in America."
