Orange and Walnut Baked Pears

Ingredients:

8 pears, peeled and halved

1/2 cup orange juice (sweetened)

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Dash of cloves

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup walnuts, crushed

1 teaspoon margarine

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt margarine in a 10-inch pie plate. Grease sides. Combine orange juice, brown sugar, spices, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour a small amount on bottom of pie plate. Arrange halved pears in spoke fashion in bottom of pie plate.

Pour orange juice over pears. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake 40 to 50 minutes, basting often. Garnish with parsley and orange slices before serving.
