Sonoita, near Patagonia in
Southern Arizona, is unique in that is has an extensive wooded
area in a normally arid region. The town is surrounded by rolling,
grass-covered hills and enjoys wonderful blue skies and wide-open
spaces.

Wine Country, is home to several wineries that offer some of the
best wines found outside of France. These vineyards represent a
rapidly growing industry, which began some four decades ago in the
Sonoita Valley.
There are so many outdoor
activities around the small town of Sonoita. The Nature
Conservancy Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve is known
internationally as a premier bird watching location. There are
over 250 different species of birds that come to the creek every
year. The Arizona Trail runs through this magnificent country,
making for absolutely amazing hiking, biking, and horseback riding
