Oracle is a small, mountain town on the northeastern slopes of the Catalina Mountains, known as a health resort, mining and ranching community.


Oracle is home to Biosphere 2, which is a glass and steel structure that encompasses five biomes; rainforest, ocean, savannah, desert and marsh. Biosphere 2 is a learning, teaching and research center for determining an ecosystem's ability to recycle air, water and nutrients in order to sustain plant and animal life.
