This authentic 19th century Victorian resort, nestled in the
Ozark Mountains, is a magical place filled with old-world charm
and European ambience. Also known as "The Little Switzerland
of the Ozarks", Eureka Springs has been selected as one of
America's Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for
Historic Preservation.
It is the only city in the
country whose entire downtown area is on the National Register of
Historic Places. The city is dominated by a 7-story, 2 million
pound, white concrete statue of Jesus known as the Christ of the
Ozarks Statue. The statue sits across the valley from the downtown
area and is visible from most parts of the city. |
