The view -- Spectacular by day;
romantically enchanting by night! In this charmingly secluded,
privately owned location you will discover "the secret."
No one leaves as he came. It is truly the
secret awaiting your discovery. Enjoy spectacular,
panoramic, breathtaking, views of the lakes and valleys at the
foothills of the Lookout Mountain Parkway from the glassed
lodge area. The lodge features a 22-foot tongue-and-groove
vaulted ceiling and clustered sitting areas with VCR,
satellite television, and an entertainment center. Guests
enjoy an outdoor, rooftop swimming pool in warmer months.
Lodge guest rooms feature vaulted ceilings,
private baths and balconies, TV-VCRs, and wonderful views. The
upstairs rooms, Tranquility and Serenity, are
just as their names indicate. Relax in a king-size poster bed
or recline in your own private rocking chair. Remembrance
and Enchantment have a charm of their own. These lodging
accommodations feature two queen-sized decorative beds. A
balcony view of a secluded shady road provides the nature
lover glimpses of frequently passing Muntjack deer.
Four Cottages offer the best of both worlds

kitchen. |

The 1850's
Style Jail
Great for laughs,
surprise birthdays, and those with a sense of humor. Tell
your friends you spent the weekend in jail, or better yet,
your anniversary or wedding night! Guests are greeted by "Shakes,"
a wooden, life-size gunslinger just a-mindin' his business
while standing on your front porch. Step inside and you'll
feel like you've stepped into history!
"I can't remember what I
did on a lot of anniversaries, but I'll never forget this
anniversary. I spent it in jail!" |
The Tree
House
Decorated in the spirit
of a child, the Tree House will surely steal your heart. It
is reminiscent of those fun years when treasures were kept
in safe places and going to that special place was to be a
Prince or Princess for an afternoon. This is a memory-making
place that connects one with the child inside himself and is
guaranteed to also make you laugh. |

To get you started, a full breakfast is
served daily at 9:00 for all guests -- one seating time.
Breakfast may vary, but is always complete. For example, the
country breakfast includes country biscuits, gravy, eggs,
sausage, juice, and coffee. Pancake breakfasts include eggs,
sausage, fruit, and more. Carl makes a mean French toast that
is a complete breakfast in itself. Breakfast is served atop an
8-foot revolving table, which is a great ice breaker for
guests and lots of fun.
Local attractions are many including
Noccalula Falls, Alabama Band Fan Club, Historic Cornwall
Furnace, Little River Canyon National Preserve, Little River
and Yellow Creek Falls, DeSoto Falls, DeSoto State Park,
Mentone and Cherokee Rock Village. The secret
overlooks Weiss Lake, the crappie capital of the south.
