Dove on the Grill

One of my favorite activities is hunting. This is a simple yet delicious way to prepare wild dove. Sincerely, Richard Shelby

Ingredients

Dove (allow at least 2 per person)

Salt, pepper and Worcestershire to taste

Bacon (1/2 slice per bird)

Sprinkle dove with salt, pepper and Worcestershire. Wrap each dove with bacon. Secure with toothpick if necessary. Cook over a medium fire until done, about 20 to 30 minutes. Turn occasionally.

Variation: Wrap 1/2 strip of bacon around a water chestnut and a boneless dove breast. Season lemon butter with Worcestershire sauce and baste frequently. Cook on grill or broil until bacon is done.
