Lake Lucille Bed and Breakfast provides
comfortable lodging in the heart of the Matanuska-Susitna
Valley on the shore of beautiful Lake Lucille, just 40 miles
from Anchorage, Alaska.
Downtown Wasilla is within walking
distance, with shopping and dining close by. Best of all are
the natural attractions that cradle this beautiful country
home. The majestic glaciers of Matanuska, Susitna, and Knik
link the Chugach and Talkeetna mountains with Mount Susitna,
providing a most graceful backdrop to an Alaska vacation.
Each of the bed and breakfast's three
warmly decorated guest rooms features a rustic country decor
complemented by Alaskan art. Each accommodation has a
queen-size bed and sitting area, and each shares a bath. The
more spacious Aster Family Suite has a separate sitting room
with microwave, refrigerator, TV, and VCR. The suite also has
its own bathroom.
A sitting room, dining room, and family
room offer places for Inn guests to convene, as does a lovely
porch area with picturesque views of a sprawling Lake Lucille,
the surrounding mountains, and a more immediate landscape of
birch and spruce trees punctuated by colorful flora. In the
family room, guests have access to a cable TV/VCR combo and a
varied selection of movie videos. There's also a microwave and
refrigerator available for guest use, and an on-site laundry
has proved to be particularly convenient for the bed and
breakfast's extended-stay guests.
A sumptuous breakfast starts things right
in the morning; and when you wind down your evening with a
movie, there's complimentary popcorn to enjoy.

Lake Lucille Bed and Breakfast offers
complimentary bicycles for exploring all of Wasilla's many
sights and attractions. Those attractions include the Dorothy
G. Page Museum and historic town site, the Knik Museum and Dog
Mushers' Hall of Fame, and the State Historical Park at
Hatcher Pass.
In neighboring Palmer, you'll enjoy visits
to the Palmer Visitor's Center and Garden, Musk Ox Farm,
Reindeer Farm, and when in season, the Alaska State Fair.
Trek Hatcher's Pass Trail provides hikers
and bikers a great way to see Alaska's natural beauty up
close; and for a somewhat different perspective, you can take
a ride on one of the float planes docked in Lake Lucille.
The Matanuska and Susitna rivers offer
rapids for white-water rafters and ideal spots for fishermen.
Of course, you can also wet a hook in Lucille Lake or Wasilla
Lake, just minutes away. Golf and skiing opportunities are
nearby. |
