Ingredients
2 teaspoons sugar syrup
6 medium-sized mint leaves
1 large jigger bourbon whiskey
1 pony whiskey
1 long sprig fresh mint
Powdered sugar

Chill a 14- or 16-ounce glass or silver mug in refrigerator. Combine sugar syrup, mint leaves, and bitter. Bruise leaves gently with muddler and blend all ingredients by stirring together. Pour bourbon into the bar glass. Stir again. Remove serving glass from refrigerator, pack it with ice, and strain it into the above mixture. With a bar spoon, churn ice up and down. Add more ice to within 3/4 inch of top. Add whiskey and repeat churning process until glass begins to frost. Wash and partially dry sprig of mint and dip it in powdered sugar. Decorate glass with the sugared mint sprig. Insert long straws and serve.

Measurements
1 dash = 6 drops
3 Teaspoons = 1/2 ounce
1 pony = 1 ounce
1 jigger = 1-1/2 ounce
1 large jigger = 2 ounces 		Sugar Syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Place sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently until the mixture condenses into a clear, sweet syrup, approximately 5 minutes. Cool. You can use immediately or store indefinitely in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
