By The Sea Guests Bed and Breakfast, sporting its own
private beach, is located on Cape Cod in Dennisport,
Massachusetts. |

|
In 1964, a recently widowed, uneducated Greek immigrant
woman came to New England in pursuit of a small business
in which she could engage and keep her family together.
After looking at many different properties, she fell in
love with an old lodging house situated on Nantucket
Sound. The woman was Ms. Efthalia N. Kossifos, mother of
the current owners. Today, her tradition of service and
hospitality continues. |
By The Sea Guests offers 12 guest rooms. Each guest room has
a private ceramic tiled bathroom with glass shower, including
two with soaking tubs, color cable television with HBO,
refrigerator, ceiling fans, and air conditioning with
individually controlled thermostats. New in 2006, free high
speed Internet access. Most rooms have an ocean view, with
some directly overlooking Nantucket Sound. Vacation Rental
Suites
are also available.
A full breakfast is served each morning on the oceanfront
Veranda. Start your day with rich coffee, specialty teas,
fruit juices, cut fresh fruit bowl, hot or cold cereals, fresh
hot baked rolls, a variety of warmed pastries, and a hot entrée.
The hearty breakfast is not available to the occupants of
suites. Throughout the day and into the evening there are
always fresh fruit, home-baked cookies and mini-desserts,
coffee, tea, and cocoa available. From time to time,
complimentary Champagne Punch or wine with cheese and crackers
and other various snacks as well as hors d'oeuvres are served
on either the oceanfront Veranda or in the comfort of the
livingroom.
Let the salt air breezes rejuvenate you. Take in a sunset or
midnight stroll on the beach during the warm summer nights. Or
on a cool fall evening, unwind by a crackling fire in the
quiet comfort of the large oversized living room. |
Lounge chairs, umbrellas, barbecue grills, utensils and
picnic tables are available for your use. When you're not
taking in the sights and just want to loaf around a bit, sit a
spell on the 100-foot porch overlooking Cape Cod's Nantucket
Sound. The spacious living room has relaxing furniture, a huge
friendly fireplace and color television.
For those who like to get out, there are many activities
and attractions to visit near the Bed and Breakfast Inn.
Explore the many fine art galleries and unique antique shops
along historic Route 6A or in one of the neighboring towns.
Take in a hike at one the many nature trails, or rent a
bicycle and choose from any of the well-pathed trails that
criss-cross the Cape.
Visit Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket, both accessible by
ferry, which is just a short drive from the Inn.
There are also day fishing trips and whale watching trips
that the staff would be happy to set up for you. |
