| Enjoy the
Cultural Heritage of West Virginia - From Civil War
reenactments to Appalachian music and craft festivals. West
Virginia is a bit of a geographic fence sitter. Its
the most northern of the southern states and the most
southern of the northern states. Each twisted boundary
marker of this odd-shaped place brings a different way of
life and a different kind of people. Regardless of where you
travel in West Virginia, however, youll be enchanted
with its people and culture as well as its geography. West
Virginia's 80,000 acres of state parks and 100,000 acres of
forests provide a natural, peaceful setting for watching its
native wildlife. Nearly 1.5 million acres of public land
with deer, waterfowl and small game are open to hunting in
the fall. In addition, more than 180 West Virginia streams
are stocked with trout. Float trips offer a great way to
fish
for smallmouth bass.
Bed
and Breakfast inns, resort loges, mountain cabins and
vacation rentals offer a variety of vacation experiences in
West Virginia. |
