1,500 miles of shoreline on the Atlantic coast as well as 2
famous offshore island, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, the
Massachusetts boast more than 80 beaches. Other well known
beaches are located on Cape Cod, Cape Ann and the shore
areas north and south of Boston. Massachusetts also has a
number of beaches near lakes, ponds and within national
parks. Sports is important in this state which is home to
professional hockey, basketball, baseball, football and
soccer teams. Every venue is available from historic Fenway
Park to the state-of-the-art FleetCenter in Boston. the
state is know for world class sporting events as the Head of
the Charles Crew Race and the Boston Marathon. The
Berkshires combines mountain beauty, skiing and recreation
with sophisticated and casual culture and theater. Autumn in
the multi color Berkshires is not to be missed.
